Mystery of spaceship-shaped object has been solved, scientists say
- gus_massa 4y agoIt's a bad title, nobody knows the exact shape. The brightness changes periodically, so all we know it's not a sphere[1]. And it also has a slightly weird trajectory. Someone claims that it is [2] a very thin alien solar sail, and that is causing the strange orbit. Everyone else think it's not an alien solar sail, but have no good explanation. Now someone propose that the comet collected Hydrogen during interestelar travel, and the degasing of Hydrogen is different of the degasing of Water of the normal comets, and that is causing the strange orbit. It looks like a good idea, and I prefer it to the proposal of the alien solar sail, but let's give it 1 year [3] to claim it is solved. [1] May it be a weird sphere whit a white side and a black side? [2] "it is" -> "it may be". It's [2] easy to publish weird conjetures if you add a "may" in the middle of the sentence. [3] or better 5 year
