I think this is part of why we have people disclose their point cards at the same time in planning poker. Our group at Amazon had the senior-most dev go first, the the next most senior and so on. Later, when I left AMZN and had my own team, I made sure we revealed our guesses simultaneously. As part of the process, we asked outliers why they thought a task was more or less pointworthy. It was a great way to kick off discussions in which junior or new team members learned more about the codebase.
