Population of Mississippi is 3 million.
- bell-cot 4y agoThe actual article (vs the HN Title) only seems to say: > Over 30 million people were under a tornado warning through the evening Their maps show quite a few states being in the path of the storms. OTOH: > Published: 01:45 EDT, 25 March 2023 | Updated: 08:23 EDT, 25 March 2023
- ofalkaed 4y agoI think they are still conflating tornado warnings with watches and severe storm warnings. There were a few tornado warnings as the system move across the country but from what I have seen I don't think 30 million were affected, but I could be wrong on that since I did not bother to dig deep or anything. Point is, clickbait title with clickbait website.
- bell-cot 4y agoTrue. But “.uk” and that right column on their web page? I put on my “realistic expectations” glasses before reading the subtitle.
- sp332 4y agoThe warnings covered a larger area, but it looks like most of the death and destruction happened in Mississippi.
