reminds me of when i had an art student/architect from austria rent a room for the summer. he carried a pocket map book and a pen, and proudly referred to it as "my iphone." what was cool was that at the end, he had an awesome souvenir for the trip, complete with geotags (scribbles on the maps), contacts (phone numbers on the margins) and memory triggers (spills and tears of the pages).
