Same here - I sync the contacts with google, since it is an android phone. I maintain a "steve-mobile-gmail" account solely for use with my phone, which is distinct from the paid account I actually use for email etc. Sadly I even have a "Deceased" label, which I add to contacts I know have died, which shows that I keep contacts essentially "forever".
