Unfortunately too many people can't afford to miss a single workday, and employers don't have to pay employees for jury duty.
- _heimdall 4y agoThe other alternatives are a) fundamental system reform that takes years and needs a short term solution or b) do nothing I wasn't arguing that jury nullification is the best or perfect answer. I simply raised that I wish more people viewed jurt duty this way. The jury is in charge in a court room. No one gets convicted criminally unless they take a deal or a jury decides it. Short of blowing up the entire system, anyone with jury duty today could do somefhing about it.
