This gene needs zinc and manganese as a cofactor to work. https://www.uniprot.org/uniprotkb/Q07343/entry https://www.uniprot.org/uniprotkb/Q07343/entry I carry a rare polymorphism in this gene (rs4384209(A;A)) which is also linked to Bipolar Disorder (which I have). My family is also littered with addiction on my mother's side. The gene controls the amount of Cyclic AMP in the cell.
