The box on the Galaxy S2 I got a few days ago says "Phone Made in Korea". Without knowing anything about Samsung's factories there, I feel very safe saying they're probably far better for workers than Foxconn.

- ethank 15y agoWere 100% of the components made in Korea? Doubtful.
- rsynnott 15y agoSamsung assembles most of its devices in Korea, but also has many factories in China, and is also a Foxconn customer. This is rather common for Korean and Japanese companies; there is some pressure to do at least some of the work in the home country, but it's not feasible to do it all there.
