Does pointing the blame in the direction of some open source library make any users more confident that it wont' happen again? I don't care why the bug exists, tons of bugs exist before you ship something, but I do care why you shipped it. If you lacked end-to-end testing, or other testing, say that, and make testing a higher priority - do and say anything that'll make me think it's less likely to happen again.
