Ask HN: Can we have a separate section for AI posts just like the 'ASK' sections
AI articles are abundant in the feed - can we get a submit for "AI HN:" and group posts there?
- karmakaze 4y agoI use my own front-page lister https://hackerer.news https://hackerer.news It's just a list of regexs in a JavaScript file of a Vue renderer I update every now and then when one topic fills the page.
- xen2xen1 4y agoIt'll ebb eventually, just like everything else.
- wsgeorge 4y agoNo. This too shall pass. :)
- samstave 4y agoBut it would be good resource to group them together though.
- wsgeorge 4y agoYou're right about that. I bet the algolia search is enough for HN's requirements. https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=pastYear&page=0&prefix=true&query=%22AI%22&sort=byPopularity&type=story https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=pastYear&page=0&prefix=tru...
- chatmasta 4y agoI'd settle for a new formatting feature in our comments, to render collapsible sections of text (i.e. a <details> element), so we can hide the five-paragraph GPT responses behind a toggle.
- ezekg 4y agoThere’s a [-] button for this.
- chatmasta 4y agoThat will collapse the entire thread. I'm asking about a collapsible text element inside our comments, so e.g. I could politely hide a multi-paragraph ChatGPT response, but still include it as part of my comment for extra context on what I'm talking about.

- surprisetalk 4y agoI just created a userscript to hide "GPT" from HN. [1] https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35274050 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35274050
