Considering the FCC's refusal to do anything real about LPFM for so many years and the increasing control of the people's airwaves by corporate interests I find myself having absolutely no sympathy to the FCC's efforts here. Based on the article I fully expect the equipment will be seized again and the station will reopen elsewhere only for the cycle to continue. This is like all piracy, a service problem.
The FCC is an entirely captured regulatory body. They serve not the people of the USA but instead their corporate masters. Detractors can make all the noise about bleed over they want but so long as the focus is on prohibition and not empowering people to access the airwaves pirate stations will continue to pop up and the FCC will continue to play whack-a-mole to no end.
It's the same thing with community access television.
