I'm happy to see more game devs eschew realism for the benefit of gameplay. Does shooting a bullet clear a tunnel through smoke IRL? No. Does making it do that make for some cool gameplay? hell yes

We're also getting out of the 2008/Xbox era of FPS design where everyone was going for a gritty, brownish Desert War realistic look. Think early CS:GO or Gears of War. Finally we can return to having some colours on ours screens other than dark yellow and brown.
