- xbar 4y agoFrom 1990, the 802.11 standards body was gyrating on radio-based 802.11 ideas. That body would not even have existed without Ethernet.

- rasz 4y agoWifi would have to go to Steve Jobs :-) Lucent was sitting on 802.11 (WaveLAN) for ten years selling super expensive products targeting niche markets and it took Apple to move things forward.
