Can Engineered Writing Ever Be Great?

- numtel 4y agoI feel like this author gave up prompt engineering much too soon. ChatGPT 4's responds well to prompts that remind it to improve the composition. Eg. "Write a story about X. Make it funny and dramatic with a surprise ending. Don't be obvious. Follow best practices for writing fiction. Be sure to show, not tell." Adding "Make it compelling" adds a flavor of a try-hard writer. I would guess that getting great writing in a response is quite possible with a great prompt.
