Its kind of interesting. Ebikes being popular (I have one). What it is a reminder of to me is how many bike components are commodities now, and bike companies seem to just be integrators. The brakes, derailleurs, wheels tires are all usually made by other companies (shimano, suntour, et al..) do designing a bike is designing the frame and geometry and specing/ installing the components. Frames matter, but most people don't care a lot, and bikes end up being a commodity. I wonder if electric cars will go the same way.
