Hey HN! I just launched https://magic.jxnl.co/youtube https://magic.jxnl.co/youtube, a small app that streamlines YouTube videos by providing powerful tools to turn video content to structured written content. Key features: Transcription: The app utilizes existing transcripts or our custom, private streaming version of Whisper to generate accurate transcriptions. Markdown Summary: A streaming markdown summary is automatically created for each video, making it easier to digest the content. Timestamps & Chapters: Our app generates timestamped sections with links that you can copy and paste into YouTube comments, which in turn creates your own chapters for seamless navigation. Tips: Click the # to jump to that section of the youtube video, copy chapters and leave it as a comment share / help others. I even set up a little chrome extension in case people find this useful. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts! Note: I'm limit transcription length right now to prevent my system getting overloaded. only the first 60000 characters of transcripts are processed.
