A huge amount of money has been made moving companies to Cloud over the past decade. A huge amount of money is going to be made moving many of those companies back over the coming decade. That being said I think what we will see is a move from propriety tools and products to essentially cloud VMs. No one really wants to run their own hardware but likewise no one wants to pay for SQS, DynamoDB, SES, API Gateway etc (insert your preferred cloud provider’s proprietary product)
