Prison Gangs Govern the American Penal System
- bediger4000 4y agoI assume this is on purpose, a lot like school administrators and teachers rely on bullies to maintain primary and especially secondary school social order.

- bediger4000 4y agoI dunno, experience? I thought this was common knowledge. Certainly when I was in middle ang high school this was the case. Teachers turned a blind eye when obnoxious twits got bullied, PE teachers in particular. I know that since Columbine in 1999, there's been a huge anti-bullying campaign, but experience with my own kids says it's just lip service. The campaigns tend towards "only students can stop bullying", which is so obviously untrue I can't believe they say it, but they do. If students could stop bullying, they would. It doesn't stop, therefore some outside discipline has to happen. But it doesn't. Even mediocre teachers know exactly what's going on in their classrooms. Maybe some exceptionally bad teachers don't but that's rare. Therefore teachers still let bullying that's convenient to them happen. Rich kids, kids with important or influential parents, good athletes, they all get at least a little slack on bullying.
