This is just the expected outcome of too-big-to-fail banks. The small and medium size banks cannot compete with the big ones, and in stress situations people will run from these smaller banks.
- detourdog 4y agoIf banks want to be too big to fail that have to prove by not hurting depositors. I think the corporate assets of banks and the banking industry as whole should be fungible that depositors can always be made whole on cash accounts. This may help contain a bank run.
