Finland named happiest country for 6th year running
- coldtea 4y agoWhich goes to show how such metrics don't measure anything...
- Mizoguchi 4y agoInteresting, considering is one of the developed countries with the highest suicide rate.
- fulafel 4y agoI think in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_rate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_r... the highest rate of developed countries is South Korea, Russia or South Africa depending on your criteria of developed-ness. I wonder what's going on in Lesoto, at #1 their rate is more than twice of the #2 country. The nordic countries mostly seem rank fairly high relative to the public image they have. Norway, Sweden, Finland are all above the European average but Denmark is below.
- whitehexagon 4y agoI miss the weekend summerhouse / sauna culture there, and I can imagine that is a contributing factor to happiness, along with the excellent education system, and beautiful countryside. It's a shame drinking and gambling are also central, but maybe that is what makes people happy too. After all, what is happiness?
