A degree from an accredited university is a real valuable thing to have with a wide degree of potential applications. A boot camp doesn't give you anything like that.
- bruceb 4y agoaccredited is not much of marker of quality. Plenty of people get a bachelors in psychology that cost them $80k and 4 years of time and no job prospects.
- arroz 4y agoAnd plenty of people will be unemployed after a bootcamp, no one can guarantee you will be hired later
- bruceb 4y agobut you don't owe the bootcamp anything if you earning $49k a year or less.
- CydeWeys 4y agoIt doesn't matter if it's a marker of quality, most high-paying jobs require a university degree. That $80k BS in Psychology will open a lot of doors to you across a variety of industries that would be shut if you only had a high school education on your resume.
- jdminhbg 4y ago> A degree from an accredited university is a real valuable thing Uh… sometimes.
- barry-cotter 4y agoAt best a boot camp gives you job skills. A degree is proof you could afford to spend four years (mostly) not working. The latter is a much more effective way of keeping out the wrong sort.
