Maybe rename them to "rules" if you are going to enforce them? Reading through them, it seems you are breaking at least one of them yourself here: > Please don't post shallow dismissals, especially of other people's work. A good critical comment teaches us something.

"Sure, you can reinvent the wheel. Have fun." breaks the rules "edit out swipes" and "don't be snarky", for starters. Your comment would have been fine without those bits. You also broke "Don't feed egregious comments by replying; flag them instead." (I don't see "guidelines" and "rules" as different enough to justify changing a name that's been around for 15+ years. I use both terms.)
