I ultimately dont get what evidence like this shows. If you search "Covid Zoo" you will see countless examples of Covid jumping to animals in captivity from humans.
If the main alternative theory (covid accidentally went from a bat sample to a person in a lab) is true then I would think it would also be close to certain that at least some animals in Wuhan would get covid from humans.
I'm happy they are releasing more info but I think in terms of evaluating theories its required to to ask "If Covid started in way X how would we expect it to spread and if it spread that way what evidence would be discoverable months/years after the fact"? Ultimately its a bit frustrating since the data is skewed towards people who were symptomatic enough to seek medical attention AND were viewed as something other than a normal sickness by doctors before Covid-19 was known.
- anenefan 4y agoI think the release of this fluffy fluff pointless news, aimed to discredit or annoy the large proportion of science minded (aka not pseudo science or woo woos) people who firmly insist on the evidence (not musings) thus far, covid almost certainly crossed naturally from unknown source, to unknown carrier or chain of carriers and then to human -- mainly for a weathered person knows down the tract it will be -- see look, some nothingness was used to sure up this argument it crossed from animals to humans, so there.
