- mint2 4y agoNot having a WSJ subscription and duly noting that it is good to augment news with an outside perspective, it’s strange to look to a source 2500 miles away for the primary source on a local story. Also I’d be puzzled if wsj has used the bridge lights to make commentary on Bay Area or SF. If they have, it’s a case of everything looks like a nail when you are a hammer.
- lazyeye 4y ago"strange to look to a source 2500 miles away for the primary source..." If Fox News had a reporter on the bridge, would you then consider them a "primary source"? Given that California apparently has a 9 billion dollar deficit, a situation where "ok, we can no longer afford the luxuries" is only puzzling if you have an agenda. https://lao.ca.gov/Publications/Report/4687 https://lao.ca.gov/Publications/Report/4687 And "it’s a case of everything looks like a nail when you are a hammer" might describe some peoples attitudes to conservative leaning media regardless of the substance of the reporting.
