Ask HN: Why is my Karma not rising with my upvotes?
My Karma was 914 before I posted two articles this morning and they received a total of 137 upvotes, but as of right now my Karma is only 953.
Just trying to understand, thanks!
- LinuxBender 4y agoArticle submission points are not 1:1 to karma points but if you see it remaining stuck when people upvote your comments then I would suggest emailing dang as nobody else here would have more visibility into what occurs on the backend. Dang's email is: <Daniel> hn@ycombinator.com
- lisasays 4y agoThe relation between karma and upvotes seems to be both non-linear (not 1:1 as the other commenter says), and asynchronous (i.e. karma adjusts for upvotes, but not in real time).
