My friend always says (roughly): AI replacing a job is not proof that the AI is sentient, it's proof that that job didn't require sentience. This seems like an example of that.
- katmannthree 4y agoAnd if it turns out that no job requires sentience, will your friend still hold this to be a useful metric?
- HervalFreire 4y agoWhy does this matter? At that point this metric proves his friend isn't sentient rendering his opinion about it irrelevant.
