Mine (in profile) helps me say many things that I think are very important so I want to say to everyone, but others don't necessarily always want to hear. I can write it, organize it for skimmability, and post it, and just include my URL in my email sig or some such, which all helps me relax more about what I have to say. Plus having my own domains (at pair.com) gives me much more control over my email, without having to manage my own smtp server.
