Technically it started my career. I was doing stuff with code and blogging about it and a recruiter found my blog and put me in the pipeline for my first Full time job. This was a long time ago but it did it's job at the time. There were a few things that helped my blog get noticed. 1. I was coding in public. (Lesson: Be transparent) 2. I was working in a language that was starting to vanish which meant that there were fewer people writing about it like me. (Lesson: Find a niche)
