I always thought the "yellow" style coins from games like Mario 64 were much more aesthetically pleasing than the more realistic gold coins of games like Odyssey.
- edflsafoiewq 4y agoMe too. Incidentally, those are just billboards (1 quad) with a grayscale+alpha texture. Vertex colors are used to tint them yellow, red, or blue.
- causality0 4y agoAs far as I know the N64 didn't support quads, just triangles.
