From another perspective, even if a human still does this work, that human can be Nx more productive with an LLM assistant (pick your N - it almost doesn’t matter for this argument). In either of these scenarios we just need substantially fewer white collar workers - enough to cause a spike in the unemployment rate and a destabilized society. It’s changing much faster than our politics can adapt.
