I once worked adjacent to a team with ~700 people. I honestly couldn't comprehend what they were all doing. At one point, they've got some major deadline coming up and they ask for help / borrowed some folks from our team, but after a week or so our teammates started showing back up to our stand-up. I asked how it was going "over there" and the response was, "They don't have anything for us to do."
