I completely agree with this. During the past few months I started writing a lot more, first in Apple Notes, then in Obsidian. I used to write some blog posts, but then I started writing down everything I learn, cool code snippets I come up with, the results of a random benchmark I've run, or a summary of the article I just read. It's been great, even if you don't go back to those notes.
I would also encourage people to publish their writing[0][1], even if they feel incomplete. I've started doing it, and it feels liberating. You don't have to put a ton of pressure on the quality or potential usefulness, just write and share.
