This is I don't understand. Why people prize waffle so much?
They somehow think that if they type three sentences about something, it will not mean they spent week's worth of hard work to come up with them.
So the extra time is being used on coming up with waffle, as a sort of self guilt tripping and then when this waffle is presented, the team understands the effort that had to be given into coming up with the waffle.
Probably out of fear that if small, but actually meaningful output wouldn't correlate with the amount of work needed in the eyes of management and could cause losing one's job.
This is an awful awful culture and rather than working to eradicate it, M$ is trying to embrace it.
It's a massive drag on productivity and really a waste of money. Employees would be much happier if they could put feet up and relax after spending good amount of work, rather than stressing about how to sugar coat it and pad with content.
The thing with AI is that it is very easy to spot that content is not written by human after reading enough of AI written text. So the copilot may work short term as an ailment for this, but what happens in a few months time, when everyone will know most presentations are just bs?
