Do doctors, lawyers, civil engineers, etc, also do take-home tests? Honest question, I don't know how other knowledge workers get hired. I know fashion designers (like my gf) do have really long and demanding take-home tests and then at the end they don't pass to the next stage... Weeks of late nights and no weekends for nothing, repeat several times.
