They put some perfunctory disclaimer on economics into their risks section of the GPT4 report, but their lack of understanding the consequences didn't seem to prevent them from pushing this development, so uncharted territory it is. It should anyways be up to governments to reign in this technology for the benefit of humanity, though I'm afraid this won't happen.
