- yellowapple 4y agoI'm in fact surprised that any such apps were allowed in the first place. Every time I see one of these articles I'm surprised for the exact same reason.
- lockhouse 4y agoThe only exception that would make sense would be if your job involves public affairs/social media presence in an official capacity. Otherwise, yes social media apps of any flavor are too risky and don’t belong on government phones.
- Arrath 4y agoSame. My work phone allows a very, very narrow set of applications to be installed from a pre-approved list. Social media is absolutely not on there.
- throwaway67743 4y agoMentioned this in another thread, but wow - at this point I'm not sure it's incompetence but just another thing they can throw at China/Russia/whoever it is this week, and see if it sticks.
