Floating solar panels could provide over a third of global electricity
- JoeAltmaier 4y agoI read (here?) Texas was just putting the panels on the ground. No mounting hardware, no gimbals or tilting. Panels are so cheap, land is so cheap, the money saved on mounting them can buy more land and panels, give more W/$ that way. I don't see expensive water-based panels that can't be tilted as beating that. Not to mention, it doesn't scale (create new shallow water? More expense)
