Ask HN: How do you optimize your notification diet?
I want to be notified instantly on some communication channels, NLP customisable if possible. For example only receiving notifications from Bob from channel Y on Discord X.
Anyone know a service I could pay for this?
- Daedren 4y agoThere's no APIs for managing notifications on either iOS or Android, you'd require a jailbreak/root to do this. Discord does let you customize notifications pretty well.
- surprisetalk 4y agoI disabled ALL notifications (except phone calls), and developed routines for manually checking everything. It’s done wonders for reducing my stress levels and increasing my meaningful output :) [1] https://taylor.town/extinguish-all-notifications https://taylor.town/extinguish-all-notifications
- louis030195 4y agosame, I don't use communication apps on my phone, if needed I use the browser. but I need to have <5 min reactivity for my customers so ideally I can do some custom notification if necessary i can code a mobile/webapp quickly
