Microsoft Teams will let you transform into a 3D avatar in May

  Dear anybody thinking of using this, Don't. If you don't want to show us your expressions and emotions in a call, choose a nice photo of yourself. If you don't want to appear at all, choose a nice icon. An animating 3d avatar will not help you communicate your thoughts and ideas. It will be a distracting waste of bandwidth. (Or worse, we will think you are happy and smiling when actually you are upset and frowning. )

  I can't lie, if I was on a Teams call with someone who was doing this, it would come off as quite unprofessional. Kind of like using a bunch of emojis in an email about a serious topic, I think it should be relegated to consumer use.

      I'm Gen Z, even for me it's too much. I think as well that by the time Gen Alpha is in the workforce it will be a lame thing for old people to them - Memojis and reaction GIFs already feel like that to me.

  Still pending, a setting for notifications in between none at all and every fucking single one.
