Criticizing and attacking your ideas is the job of the people you’re pitching ideas to. They have nothing against you personally and they don’t think you’re stupid. I’m sure if you pitched me one of your individual ideas I’d take it apart and start looking for weaknesses, because that’s the type of person I am. I think the “patches upon patches” is a really interesting way of formulating the causes and symptoms of some of the systematic and technological issues in the world. That’s why I vouched for this post, despite the title. I don’t have advice for you except that you won’t succeed if you’re beating yourself up.
