I designed a facility IoT system with AWS products: IoT Core (MQTT broker), SiteWise (analytic dashboard), S3 and Lambda. I found the AWS offerings to have everything I needed in one place with a low cost. Added benefits were being able support NIST cybersecurity requirements (CMMC v2, Level 2) in addition to the IoT system. I was a fan of NATS and Kafka in the past, but AWS tooling makes IoT relatively easy. Cheers
