`gsutil ...` was pretty bad (it is python like you say, and based on a very outdated fork of boto2). I've had really good luck with `gcloud storage ...` though

`gsutil ...` was pretty bad (it is python like you say, and based on a very outdated fork of boto2). I've had really good luck with `gcloud storage ...` though, which takes essentially the same CLI args. It's much faster and IIRC written in golang.
