Oh, capitalism can work, the question is who gets the rewards?

  With full automation and AI we could have something like a few thousand individuals controlling the resources to feed, house and clothe 6 billion. Using copyright and IP law they could make it so it’s illegal to even try to reproduce what they’ve done. I just don’t see how resource distribution works then. It seems to me that AI is the trigger to post-scarcity in any meaningful sense of the word. And then, just like agriculture (over abundance of food) led to city states and industrialisation (over abundance of goods) led to capitalism, then AI will lead to some new economic system. What form it will have I don’t know.
