this was my '1984'. i was 15, had it in my head that i was destined to become a revolutionary. i gave it to a friend and they came away feeling like they needed to become a teacher; i came away wanting to be a novelist, or a father. in any case, it definitely changed my world view. not sure how i'd feel about it nearly a decade later, but i'll take this a sign to re-read. cheers!
