Where in this case the “speculative investments” are bank deposits and T-bills.
- yabones 4y agoThe "speculation" was that rates would stay low forever.
- drexlspivey 4y agoSVB didn’t buy T-bills though, they would be fine if they did. They bought 10-year bonds that dropped 20-25% in value since 2021 so yeah pretty speculative.
