- wallaBBB 4y agoBut it also makes a point that it was a mistake to do so.
- somedude895 4y agoQuite likely for them it was a mistake, letting promising companies go lest you smother them with your inertia. Like parents letting their children leave to live to their full potential. Not that businesses do or should have that as a goal per se, but it seems to have been for the greater good.

- quonn 4y agoSiemens has recently split into different companies so it's questionable if it still exists.
- ranguna 4y agoIt did? They merged with Gamesa in 2016 (more like Gamesa merged into Siemens).

My understanding was that they will completely split into many small parts, but it seems that they came to their senses.

- stefan_ 4y agoSiemens is essentially a hedge fund, they invest one place, divest another. You might not find the label on your fridge but its still a $80B revenue business.
