Ask HN: Does a submission to HN trigger an archival run on the Internet Archive?

I just submitted a link I found interesting and 3 minutes later went to archive the page on the Internet Archive, only to be told, that it had been just archived 2 minutes ago. This could be coincidence, but highly unlikely because of the page I submitted, but I had to test. So I picked the newest submissing from "new" and tried to archive it. And it also was already recently archived. So, is HN itself triggering an archival process, is the Internet Archive monitoring new submissions, or is a third party involved?
