- more_corn 4y agoAs I first read this headline I was hoping for an IT crowd joke about how the 3 day blip in access to deposits is causing a bit of a reboot for startups. “Silicon valley Bank turned Silicon Valley off and then on again”
- KRAKRISMOTT 4y agoSVB wasn't big enough. If Wells Fargo or Chase or some other bulge bracket had a bank run, they would be swimming in bailouts already.
- projektfu 4y agoThat's sort of a tautology. The agencies bailed out and married systemically important banks, but also put a number of extra restrictions on them after Dodd-Frank. SVB argued that it was not systemically important and didn't need that treatment.
