I have a windows machine for sim racing that has an I9 10 core processor with 64gb of ram across all 4 slots.
I’ve never seen the ram usage exceed 25%, even in the most demanding uses such as VR sim racing, or developing full stack code with a bunch of IDE’s and vms running.
I believe 32gb will be the next standard, as is 16GB is today. I don’t believe the next hop to 64GB will happen anytime soon in the next 10 years. I believe 32gb will be enough resources to hold over the next computing wave.
