I built a PC for the first time in over 10 years, and it was a rollercoaster
- PaulHoule 4y agoI built one with an AMD CPU. It certainly was emotional in terms of the dollar value of the parts but the build was straightforward and it booted the first time. I had a cable get caught in a fan which easy to fix and also had the liquid cooler LCD thingie get unseated which made the computer think it was in a crisis but the CPU was in no danger because the actual cooler was running fine. I'd say jump in, the water is fine.
- abudabi123 4y agoPins and sharp edges will cause cuts and bleeds. That was my experience on the Raspberry Pi. Buying the parts and not missing out on one needed and then to have to wait the delay and delivery again was the barrier to fuss over. The 8Gb model had a very long pre-order wait time.
- PaulHoule 4y agoYeah, I have one of those Vision V2’s and I think all the parts except a good case, but I know the initial firmware update is a bit of work and I just need to get started on it.
- clouddrover 4y ago> This is what it must feel like when an artist finishes a painting or when a woodworker puts the final touches on a birdhouse. No. It's what it feels like when you assemble IKEA furniture.
- Doxin 4y agoI'm not sure those things are different in anything but scale.
